Go Ryva

Last Friday was our school cross country. The year 3s ran 2 laps of our new school field track, and the year 4s also did a lap of the block.  Well done to Ryva who came first in the year 3 race! Here are some photos of the day.

After morning tea yesterday, Rooms 12, 13
& 14 went down to the Esplanade to do
some work in our native bush.  We were
lucky to have Brian Coles, an expert in
knowledge about the native bush, come
and help Room 14 out. He walked us through
the Esplanade bush walks and taught us all
about native trees.

This is how tall they are...

Yesterday Room 13 & 14 were lucky enough
to have the New Zealand poet James
Fagan come to Takaro to read us some of
his famous poetry. We really enjoyed it and
were so well behaved.
